Equalizer APO is a parametric / graphic equalizer for Windows. It is implemented
as an Audio Processing Object (APO) for the system effect infrastructure
introduced with Windows Vista.
Features:
- virtually unlimited number of filters
- works on any number of channels
- very low latency, which makes it suited for interactive applications
- low CPU usage
- modular graphical user interface
- VST plugin support
- integrates into Voicemeeter (http://www.voicemeeter.com/)
Requirements:
- Windows Vista or later (currently only Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and 11 have been tested)
- the application must not bypass the system effect infrastructure
(APIs like ASIO or WASAPI exclusive mode can not be used)
Equalizer APO is best used in conjunction with Room EQ Wizard (http://www.roomeqwizard.com/), because it can read its filter text file format.
Please have a look at the Wiki (http://sourceforge.net/p/equalizerapo/wiki/) for instructions on installation and configuration.

Great tool, period.

I've been using this app for 2 years and there's nothing different about this app. I get irritated using this app, even the plugins don't work. I use a JBL bluetooth headset, sometimes it works perfectly, but it ends up harming the audio. I don't use this app anymore!!!

I needed to switch my left and right audio channel, but only for the USB headset, not for the speakers. - install the tool - enable it for the correct devices - create a swap_left_right.txt file which contains "Copy: L=R R=L" - add to the config/config.txt "Include: swap_left_right.txt" - enable it? not sure. I toggled some things on and off, now it seems to be working? Either it is working or the bug is gone. :-)

Recovered my password to rate this gem. So refreshing to have ultimate control over the hardware. Was trying to get my quadraphonic setup to play the same signal through both front and rear speakers. Realtek couldn't deliver, but this did.

Wow gasp! It's been years and years since I've ran in to anything free for Windows and which does not seem to contain this and that s**tware. And this is really great, got almost decent sound from my 10eur cat ears headphones with this. And with total ease, no headache and blood pressure problems at all! Now plz, make a version for Android <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
